Curator/Farmer's work this week.

This week we have been working in the same topic as last week se we have used the same references from the last week and we haven't changed our pearltree.

The only thing that changes is the activity we have done, which has been different because we had our topics in the conceptual maps but this week we had to make 24 questions each group in order to do cards with these questions and then, in some weeks time we'll play a game with them.

To see our references for this topic (laws LOE and LOMCE) you can see the last week's post of the curator/farmer, which was writen by Javier Marín.

Curator-Farmer's Work This Week. "What have we learned?" #SOyER1314

In this practice we have also used some of the other links that have appeared in the other practices but I have decided not to put them again and I have added new ones.

This video has been a summary of the other practices (Illustrating words, TPACK, Treasure Hunt, Telling Stories, and The Dark Side of Textbooks). At first we thought that it would be difficult to do because we only had one minute and a half and moovly (an online programme to create videos) doesn’t have many icons and effects free. Although with the creativity of all of us, we have done a good work all together, and we have spent a good time doing it.

Some words about our work this week: TREASURE HUNT

The core of the task this week has been the concept of “Treasure hunt”, also known as “Scavenger hunt” or “Knowledge hunt”. This is a useful primary activity for identifying goals, defining terms and locating information or facts. It also encourages students using Internet to search for different questions planned by the "Huntmaker". They learn to handle the different websites, to select and organize all the information provided by the web.

The end question or “big question” is essential. Is a way to see if they have acquire basic knowledge about the topic.

Because of my rol this week, as curator-farmer, I’ve been in charge of compile and organize all the resources we have used in this practice and I think it’s very important trying to understand thoroughly this educational resource. So if you are interested, you can have a look at this link with more information about the topic:

I also found some interesting articles about the distortions of reality in cartographic projections and videogames:

I hope you find them appealing.

Have a nice evening!
