It's My Turn as Facilitator.

This week we've been working again with the laws, we've done a very interesting game in which each group had to invent some questions about the laws we are studying and the stars had to answer them correctly in order to win the game in the end.

In our group we have worked in a very organized way because each of us had to invent an specific number of questions in order to have the total 24 questions of all the different topics we have (6 in total). Doing this like that we were faster and we could do better our work because then we all corrected all the questions and selected the ones we thought were more appropriate for the game.

I am The Facilitator This Week!

This week i am the facilitator in the practice "Changes in The Spanish Educational System Overview: The game", especially in the third step called "Build the questions for being included in the game".

As facilitator, I have to divide, coordinate and organize the work of every member in the group.

Firsly, before starting this activity, we finished our maps. We did it through the maps of the other groups. So, we add and contrast the information.. And finally we had our maps prepared  for this practice!

Secondly, we organize ourselves to do the questions.
In this way, we decided that first we would do the questions of the topics  two and five. This decision was to facilitate the work because these are the issues which we have worked deeply.
Each member of the group had to prepare four questions for each topic. Subsequently, we review our questions of the topics two and five and we choose the most appropriate.

Thirdly, my group and I decided that each member of the group would have to review the rest of the issues in order to know something about them.
After that, each person would make various questions for the rest of topics (1,3,4,6) . Once the questions were made, my group and I chose the best questions.
This was a hard and a little complicated work. However, with effort and constant work, we got to have four appropriate questions for each topic!!

Fourthly, we carry out 24 cards with  a measure of  9x5. Here, the questions appeared!! Work done with a good organization!

Therefore, the organization to do a work is very important! Furthermore, we are many people in my group..In this way if we do not have some coordination, things will be very complicated to carry out.

Facilitator´s Work This Week "Changes in The Spanish Educational System"

As a facilitator of the work during this week, I have to say that at first I thought this experience would be a bit difficult because this activity had lot of work to do. I had to coordinate and organizate the practice for this week using some tools (expecialy "Canva") to make two different CMAPs.

For that reasson, I considered that the best option to organize the work and the way to make this conceptual maps, was dividing the group in two small groups; so the first one had to carry out the first topic: "The primary school" . The members of the group that were working on it were: Natalia Martínez, María José Atienzar and me. And Irene Martínez, Mariano Castillo, Javier Marín and Alicia Lova were working for the second topic: "Administration at educational institutions level".

By this way, everybody knew what had to do, a specific topic but also I have to say that all of us knew the contents about both topics but by this way we work quickly and with good results.

Once we investigate and work about all the information that we want to focus on the CMAPs Javi and Alicia, because of their knowledge about technological skills, made our fantastic conceptual maps.

Finally from my point of view ande once I've finished my role of the week, I have to say that the most important think we have to know before start with the practice is how we are going to organizate, so the facilitator have an essencial role. But we are a group that worked pretty well and I'm proud of it. It was better than I thought at first !!

Facilitator: Administrating the Web 2.0

As a facilitator and administrator of the web during this week, my job has been to coordinate and organize tasks for the making of a video (What Have We Learned?) using Moovly website. Unfortunately, for family reasons, I have not been able to perform my task as I would have liked.

Basically what we did was work together some days to make a storyboard and create a script that the stars of this week would recite and record, using their voices. While some of us were creating and adapting images for the film, other colleagues were engaged in making the video itself. Finally, as in all previous work, we did a shared piece of work, always developing from a common start and common preconceptions. It has been a fairly quiet and productive week.

Facilitators' work this week. "The Dark Side of Texbooks"

This week our group has had two facilitators, Mariano and Irene.

Our experience as facilitators of this group during this week has been quite interesting. Our group has been working in a project called “The dark side of the textbooks”. We decided to divide the group to look for information individually because in that way we could get more resources than doing that in peers or with the whole group. We also decided to divide the articles that were uploaded to virtual classroom by the teacher. Each person had to read only an article and not all of them, summarize it and if the information was in Spanish, this person had to translate it into English.

After this process, when we had got the whole information, each person had to explain it to our group. And all together we started to do the infography which was one of the options that we had for doing our project on “The dark side of textbooks”.

Our conclusions once we have finished our role of this week, we have realized that to do a good presentation, it is important to create a solid group of work; it is also important that the components interact each other to express their own opinions; we have to have the aim object of the practice clear and we have to know how to deal all the problems that could appear in that kind of works. So we think that this week some components haven’t followed all these rules, so the project was hard to do because some of the components worked more than others, and this has influenced us a lot.

My Turn as Facilitator: It's okay to be THE BOSS

My experience as the facilitator of the group has been so good. Even I like the experience of have some power, but I haven't been too bossy (I think).
My conclusions, once I've finished my role of the week, are that the most essentials pillars to create a solid group of work is (1) to have a good communication among all the components of the group, (2) to have clear what's the common objective and (3) to know how to deal with problems and conflicts that appears during work time.

This week we have had many tasks to do, so I considered that the best way to organize the work was dividing the group in order to each one had to be in charge of carry out one part.

So, this is how we did it:

- Irene and Mª José were in charge of make the slides explaining the tips for a good presentation.
- Natalia and me did the explanation of how to use Creative Commons.
- Mariano, Javier and Ana made the slideshow of the topic we chose -the Food Chain, but we tried to be original, thus we added some Dinosaurs to the mix-, and also prepared the oral presentation about it.

By this way, everybody knew what had to do, a specific task.
Because of our experience last weeks, we have tried to organize in a better way the time we had to carry out the activity, making the most of the time in class and distributing the work individually.

Facilitator´s work on Treasure Hunt

I am the facilitator this week and I am going to explain how we had divided our work: each one in his/her different role had to do a different activity in order to do an excellent presentation in class for our partners.

Our third practice had three parts: firstly cartographic projections, secondly media distorsions and lastly find a treasure hunt.
We studied the three projections, Robinson, Mercator and finally azhimutal one and the differences among the two countries were big so, we understood each one better. After studying all of this we decided how to do the presentation, all of us decided the way the STAR was going to present it so, it was a work in group, as it has to be.

Secondly we worked the topic of media distorsions with a video game and thirdly we found a treasure hunt.
The last thing I should say is that it has been so fun being the facilitator this week and that our work in group every week is excellent.

I´m Facilitator. How was my work this week?

This week i am the facilitator, so I have to divide, coordinate and organize the work of every member in the group. So, in practice one "Illustrating Words" , we did not have divided roles, therefore we did the work all together. The group dynamic was very good and fun. In practice two "Exploring TPACK" the group have been  organized and divided in the best way possible. First, it was established that each group member had to read all the information about TPACK, and then each one would take care of a part. There were many parts as members in the group, so it was done successfully. The parts were: Content Knowledge (CK); Pedagogical Knowledge (PK); Technology Knowledge (TK); Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK); Technological Content Knowledge (TCK); Technological Pedagogical Knowledge (TPK) and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) . Thus, each member of this group work individually. Later we collect all parts to make the overall work, in which everyone contributed with ideas and working hard to create the poster. Also, one day (Monday) was also established for all to conduct our part of the role. In this way I have done my homework this week, work  which has been done successfully, so dynamic and with a good organization and coordination.
